The 2008 Sunset Criterium is set to kick off on Saturday, Aug 9th. We will be racing concurrently with the Bethany Summer Concert, which means we will have a beer garden, numerous food vendors, and a live band, all located on the upper parking deck which is smack in the middle of the race course. Our new course connects to Laidlaw Rd. with a downhill before returning to the fast 200 meter finishing stretch. This .4 mile course will provide lots of excitement for all with a great view from the upper parking deck. It will be great fun for the entire family and you don't want to miss it! We are offering $2000 in cash distributed among all podium finishers-Includes $1000 in cash to the Pro 1/2/3 through 10 places. $1500 in gift certificates and merchandise will be awarded through 10th place in all fields. There is a field limit of 75 in all races with the exception of the Cat 3,4,5, which has a field limit of 60 riders. The races are structured so that most riders can race twice. The fee for race day registration is $25 with 20 percent of the proceeds donated to the American Diabetes Association. Pre-registration is available for $20 at ORbike.com through Aug 5th.
