Completely ignorant question here. :) I've been to several cyclocross events as a spectator (not coordinated enough to participate) and was surprised to see that no one uses bikes with disc brakes. Are they not permitted? Are they somehow uncool? Or unsafe? The wet, muddy conditions would seem a good fit for them. The consesus is that particularly here in the North Wet, canti's have some major advantages. There were disenting opinions of course; this _is_ OBRA. :D I bought both pairs of Craig's Tektro RPB CNC machined canti brakes, so I'm in buisness! Ken |
